Ethiopian Cargo & Logistics Services, Africa’s largest network operator, has started two weekly freighter flights today connecting Xiamen with São Paulo and Santiago via Addis Ababa. Ethiopian also plans to commence two weekly freighter flights between Shenzhen and Liège as of February 17, 2023. Ethiopian will deploy B777 Freighter on the new cargo routes

Ethiopian Airlines won “Air Cargo Industry Customer Care Award 2022” for the second time in a row, in recognition of its excellence across a wide range of activities in the global air cargo industry. The award was given virtually during Air Cargo Weeks Award program held in Shanghai on June 15,2022. Qatar Cargo, Saudi Cargo, United Cargo and KLM Air Cargo were among the shortlist of the category.
Ethiopian Cargo & Logistics Services, Africa’s largest network operator, has transported more than 50 million test kits from South Korea to United States and Canada in the first quarter of 2022. Ethiopian operated 61 scheduled flights to transport the 3200 tons of time-sensitive kits directly to US and Canada.
Commenting on the milestone, Mr. Miretab Teklaye, Ethiopian Airlines Country Manager for South Korea said, “We are glad that we earned the trust and confidence of our customers to transport the highly sought after test kits of South Korea to the United States and Canada. Our schedule flexibility and operational excellence were absolutely essential to deliver these time-sensitive shipments on time to their final destinations. We are proud that we are contributing our share in fighting the pandemic”.

Ethiopian Airlines, Africa’s best airline and winner of multiple global awards, has signed a strategic partnership agreement to jointly commence sea-air multimodal transportation with International Djibouti Industrial Park Operation (IDIPO) and Air Djibouti for an expeditious transportation of goods to Africa.
Based on the agreement, the cargo will be transported from China to Djibouti Free Zone by sea and will be uplifted by air from Djibouti International Airport.

Ethiopian Airlines is the first airline in Africa to receive the CEIV pharma certification.
